Purpose of Scouts and Guides

The purpose of Scouting Guiding is to develop the inherent potential of the young people by providing them a number of structured activities In order to make them physically, mentally, socially, spiritually and emotionally strong and useful citizens of the nation.

The aim is achieved through a combination of activities and programs offered at the Unit level and a structured syllabus which offers programs and activities through progressive Advancement Scheme. The Progressive Advancement is designed to satisfy the needs of each age group and is contained in ASP (Advancement, Syllabus & Progress)

Scouts and Guides

Scouting is a movement that aims to support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development,that they may play constructive roles in society, with a strong focus on the outdoors and survival skills. During the first half of the 20th century, the movement grew to encompass three major age groups for boys (Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Rover Scout) and, in 1910, a new organization, Girl Guides, was created for girls (Brownie Guide, Girl Guide and Girl Scout, Ranger Guide). It is one of several worldwide youth organizations

What is Scouting & guiding?

Scout is a military term in the Army, those soldiers who are courageous, clever and do take risk in life and are always alert and active by the eyes, nose and ears, are made scouts. These scouts always move forward in their platoon and carefully find out all the differences of the enemy party and tell their officer. These warriors are called scouts. Scouting is a game that notches the qualities of citizenship in boys and girls in sports and games. Scouting is neither a military institution nor a political organization, it is for everyone, beyond the distinction of caste-religion. The sole purpose of scouting is to produce the best citizens.

Scouting is derived from the English word Scouts. Scouting means “Science of Outing". The feeling is that in scouting, health education is obtained by living in harmony with nature. Through which virtue, courage, patriotism. Discipline, obedience, humility, benevolence, leadership, self-reliance etc. are deve1oped. It is a worldwide institution, it awakens the children a sense of world love and world peace

The scout guide child learns how to use the leisure time properly Work closely with good colleagues doing it creates interest in doing good works

Scouting Guiding is the ideal school for good citizenship. The pride of society and Nation is only when good citizens increases. Scouting Guiding is helpful in all respects in providing good citizenship.

The spirit of character formation arises on its own in the Scout boy / Guide girl.

Scout Guide considers his/her service to his/her God. Religion and duty.

The Scout Guide child takes interest in good works after learning to come well. It instills a sense of self-reliance, will power and leadership.
